Fine Dining for the U. S. Women's World Cup Soccer Champs

NEW YORK, July 21 - You can never say David Letterman doesn't make good on his promises, especially where the U.S. Women's World Cup soccer team is concerned.

On the June 16 LATE SHOW with DAVID LETTERMAN broadcast (featuring U.S. Women's soccer teammate Brandi Chastain), Letterman, the self-proclaimed team "owner" and "spiritual guru," vowed that if the team won the World Cup soccer championship, he would treat them all to dinner. Well, they did, and now dinner's on Dave!

After the team appeared on the LATE SHOW broadcast last night (7/20), Letterman gave each member of the team, including coach Tony DiCiccio, dinner for two at the famed Midtown restaurant, "21."

The LATE SHOW with DAVID LETTERMAN, a production of Worldwide Pants Inc., is broadcast weeknights (11:35 PM-12:37 AM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. Rob Burnett is the executive producer.
